Around the village – Let’s get to know SoSo – Studio Circolare

Reduce, reuse, recycle

Sofia Caponi is a young creative who started her dream in the historic center of Suvereto. After studying at Polimoda in Florence and after working for large fashion companies, she returned to her city and opened a creative studio oriented towards her great passion, sustainable fashion. The mantra he cares about and on which his creative lab is based is precisely this: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

This innovative space embraces the circular economy, transforming deadstock materials and second-hand clothing through the upcycling process, giving them new life and value.

A Laboratory of Creativity and Sustainability

The workshop, although still young, is already fully equipped and offers a wide range of services, from the repair of clothing to complete restyling, up to the possibility of purchasing upcycled pieces and locally crafted accessories. Here, each garment tells a story of rebirth, promoting a more sustainable and conscious consumption model.

Collaboration with Menabòh

Recently, Sofia joined the team at Menabòh, a new start-up that serves as a platform for upcycling-savvy designers. This collaboration aims to promote a more responsible attitude towards purchasing fashion, encouraging new generations (and not only) to consider the option of modifying and reinventing the items in their wardrobe rather than opting for fast fashion. The goal is to push towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly habits.

The Story of Sofia Caponi

Born in the Tuscan hills in 1996 and raised a stone’s throw from the sea, Sofia showed a strong creative inclination from an early age, expressing herself through her first paintings on the walls of her home and styling her dolls. This passion for fashion led her to undertake studies as a fashion designer at the Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence in 2015.

After graduating, he worked as an assistant for a Beachwear and Leisurewear designer at the Venetian company “Diesel”, where he was able to deepen his knowledge of fabrics and improve his graphic skills. This experience allowed her to understand the importance of expressing a message through clothing, making her fall even more in love with the creative process behind each collection.

The Birth of SOSO – Circular Study

Driven by her passion for art and sustainability, Sofia recently realized her dream, founding “SOSO – Studio Circolare”. Here, the circular economy becomes the engine of creativity, transforming waste materials into unique and sustainable garments. The “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” collection is an invitation to reconsider our way of consuming, opposing the vortex of consumerism.

Sofia Caponi, with her innovative vision and commitment to sustainability, demonstrates that it is possible to combine fashion and respect for the environment. “SOSO – Studio Circolare” is much more than a simple laboratory: it is a manifesto of creativity, a place where each garment tells a story of rebirth and hope for a more sustainable future.
