I’Ciocio restaurant: Michelin green star in Suvereto
Just a stone’s throw from Casa Il Giardino Segreto, in a romantic and cozy restaurant, Tuscan tradition blends with culinary innovation and the enhancement of local products, giving unique experiences to lovers of good food. Today I bring you to discover the restaurant I’Ciocio, led by chef Fabrizio Caponi, creator of the agricultural project Mulino Le Pietre, two realities that represent the excellence and sustainability of our land.

Traditional Cuisine Revisited with Creativity
Led by chef Fabrizio Caponi, along with Deanna and her staff, the restaurant has been awarded the prestigious Michelin Green Star in 2021, an award that recognizes commitment to environmental sustainability and the enhancement of local resources.
If you are observant, you will find a postcard in the restaurant that tells the story of a family dish from the chef’s childhood that he has always offered in his restaurant, updated and revisited with love. I won’t reveal it here because it will be up to you to find out what it is!
However, I want to reveal my favorite dessert-no doubt crepes with orange cream!

Caponi’s culinary philosophy is based on the use of organic and zero-kilometer ingredients, many of which come from local farms. This attention to quality and sustainability is reflected in dishes that enhance the authentic flavors of Tuscan tradition, revisited with creativity and respect for the raw materials. The restaurant itself is a welcoming place, where the warm atmosphere of a trattoria blends with attentive and professional service. You will always be greeted with a smile and an entreè that varies with the season, as does the menu.
The wine cellar is full of local wines and always gives pleasant discoveries. Let Andrea advise you and you will find the right wine for every dish! This is the restaurant I love to come to with my husband and recommend to all guests looking for a special dinner, to celebrate an important moment or just to pamper themselves a bit.
The Mill the Stones

Mill the Stones
One element that connects the House in the Castle and the I’Ciocio restaurant is the design of the Le Pietre Mill, a self-financed agricultural company founded in 2013. This mill, located in Venturina Terme, was born from the initiative of organic farmers, technicians, cooks and entrepreneurs with the aim of rebuilding the grain supply chain in the Val di Cornia. The project aims to promote organic farming, safeguard biodiversity and enhance traditional varieties of high-straw wheat, so-called “ancient grains.”
In 2024, Le Pietre Mill opened an agricultural bakery in the center of Suvereto, specifically on Via Caporali. This bakery represents a new business line for the mill’s products, offering breads and baked goods made exclusively from its own organic flours. Natural leavening and the use of short supply chain ingredients guarantee high quality products with authentic flavor.
Since 2024, I have been pleased to offer my guests a package of pasta from the Mill as a welcome gift to start their stay in Suvereto off right.
