Sagra del Cinghiale – Suvereto

The most famous festival in Suvereto, takes place every year between November and December. Look for the famous ‘cappa’, mounted in the historic center and used to cook polenta, hamburgers and wild boar sausages and prepare excellent sandwiches with wild boar mortadella. Markets, exhibitions, medieval knights and creative workshops enliven this beautiful event and there will be guided tours of the cellars and opportunities to explore this beautiful village in a new guise! Campiglia Marittima – Schiaccia Festival

Schiaccia Campigliese is a typical dessert from Campiglia Marittima, a simple but flavorful delight, prepared with a few genuine ingredients such as flour, sugar, lard and lemon zest. This specialty represents the essence of rural tradition, bringing with it the authentic taste of the past. Every year, the Sagra della Schiaccia Campigliese celebrates this local product with tastings, music and artisan stands, transforming the village into a lively meeting point for those who love traditional cuisine and want to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of Campiglia.

Polenta Festival – Guardistallo

In the heart of the Tuscan hills, the picturesque village of Guardistallo celebrates the star of autumn for an entire weekend: polenta. Served with rich sauces based on mushrooms, wild boar, or simply enjoyed with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, polenta becomes a unique culinary experience. For 56 years, the second weekend of October (Saturday and Sunday), the historic center of Guardistallo comes alive with this festival.

The event includes live music, a suggestive historical parade and various itinerant shows, accompanied by a market of typical local products. The importance of polenta is such that Guardistallo is a proud member of the National Association of Polentari d’Italia!

October Celebrations – Sassetta

October in Sassetta is a festive month that celebrates the authentic flavors and traditions of the Tuscan hills. The village comes alive with events dedicated to typical products and local culture, offering an unmissable experience for lovers of gastronomy and nature.

Among the protagonists are the Giornate del Bosco, two weekends (generally in the second half of October) dedicated to autumn flavors such as mushrooms, chestnuts, game and truffles. The streets of the village fill with food stands, artisans, live music and shows that involve visitors of all ages. There is also a market of local products, where you can buy honey, wine and extra virgin olive oil, excellent products of the area.

Carciofo Pride – Venturina

The Carciofo Pride of Venturina Terme is a unique festival dedicated to the purple artichoke, an excellence of local agriculture and a symbol of taste and tradition. Every year, the village celebrates this delicacy with an event that combines gastronomy, culture and conviviality.

During the Carciofo Pride weekend, the streets of Venturina come alive with food stands where the artichoke is the protagonist of creative and traditional dishes: from crispy fried foods to cream soups, to pizzas and first courses. There is no shortage of culinary workshops, show cooking and tastings to explore the thousand nuances of this vegetable.

Fried Fish Festival

The Fried Fish Festival in Piombino is an unmissable event for lovers of the sea and good food. This event, held every year in the picturesque coastal village, celebrates the freshness and authentic flavors of local fish, with fried fish as the absolute protagonist.

During the festival, large frying pans sizzle to prepare delicious portions of calamari, anchovies, shrimp and other specialties, served hot and crispy. All this is accompanied by a lively atmosphere, enriched by live music, shows and artisan markets.

On December 7th and 8th, Castagneto Carducci invites you to join the celebration of the gastronomic tradition of Castagneto Carducci and the prized white truffle of San Miniato.

In the summer, the small village of Canneto and the neighboring village of Monteverdi host the Sagra della Maccheronata, a celebration of homemade pasta. It is a perfect opportunity to savor the authentic taste of Tuscan cuisine and discover the conviviality that animates the small village. During the festival, it is easy to meet chefs and volunteers who tell anecdotes about the secrets of their recipes, prepared with local game. Many other festivals enliven the village in the summer, such as the Sagra della bistecca and the Sagra del coniglio.
