A new holiday home in the heart of the village of Suvereto
Our passion for hospitality and for Suvereto needed new spaces. Being able to experience the village together with friends, other families or with our growing children pushed us over time to look for a new home in the historic center. The house had to be unique and special. So we started to look at some of them, and we were firmly determined to choose one in the heart of the historic center, so as to be able to provide both for us and for our guests a valid alternative to the Il Giardino Segreto house.
As always happens when destiny chooses for us, it was also thanks to the real estate agents of Fioretti Immobiliare if we went to see this house. Listening and understanding our needs and our search for something special… they led us to see this house that was momentarily hidden by online advertising.
As you know and I have told you both here and on Instagram, I have a great passion for creativity and interior relooking. A passion that was born with the renovation of The Secret Garden house. From the moment I chose this house I therefore glimpsed its potential and we were immediately captured by the beautiful veranda overlooking a quiet street in the center of Suvereto. I couldn’t wait to get to work and transform this house!
Feng-shui and Living Well-being
The meeting with Silvia Maderna, an expert in residential and interior well-being, proved to be fundamental for the development and direction of the work at home. With Silvia, a special collaboration was born right away, a friendship and many exchanges of opinions and ideas. The work then began after correcting some of my initial ideas and environments following her consultancy, which oriented the spaces following the energies of the Feng-Shui philosophy. The house is therefore aimed at finding the best well-being for those who live there: starting from the bedroom up to the correction of imbalances of missing energies. I have described all the steps of the consultancy and the elements on which we acted in my blog CountryRelooking and an e-book will soon be born for all those who want to delve into these topics even during their stay!
Whole house decoration done by me with Fleur Paint
Another peculiar feature of this house is the fact – of immense value to me – that it was entirely painted and decorated by me and my husband. Starting from the doors of the old kitchen, continuing with all the walls and the old plasters recovered up to the decorations made with stencils and material pastes, I am truly happy to have been able to create an entire house by myself. I relied entirely on Fleur Paint products, which I love both for the choice of colors and for the characteristics of sustainability and low emissions. I have described the progress of the work on Instagram during numerous live broadcasts together with Adele dalla Mano, owner of the Brescia-based company that produces this brand.
I am so grateful that in a relatively short time I was able to make this home the way I wanted it, full of well-being, harmony and love. I can’t wait for it to be enjoyed by travellers from all over the world and I am very happy to share it.
