Hello, I’m Diana. My husband and I bought Il Giardino Segreto in 2017, the summer our twins were born.
We already had a 3-year-old son and had been looking for a place like this for some time. It had to be a village – small but authentic, near the sea and with a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. Suvereto turned out to be the perfect choice for us!
What I could never have imagined was just how much this place would grow on us over time, and so we began sharing the house with other guests during the periods when we couldn’t be there ourselves…
That’s how I discovered I have a real passion for hospitality; I’ve met so many interesting people who’ve spent unforgettable days in this house. Over time, I’ve delved deeper into and studied home makeovers and interior design techniques to make this space ever more pleasant and personalised, whilst always respecting the history and tradition of the place.
I personally devoted myself to renovating the house, paying attention to every detail… and above all to the garden, which I have enriched over time with numerous plants and flowers, much to the delight of the little birds and butterflies that have returned to visit!
In 2024, we decided to buy a new house in the heart of the village: La Terrazza sul Borgo. This was renovated in a different style to the first, with meticulous attention to every detail: we stripped back the old walls to bring the original plasterwork back to life, and we personally decorated and painted every single surface ourselves.
I love meeting people who, like me, appreciate the relaxed lifestyle of a village, mindful tourism and respect for nature.

Indeed, the Country Relooking project was born out of my experience with La Casa nel Castello, through which I share with others what I’ve learnt through hands-on experience. I help those with a holiday home or a second home to enhance it with small stylistic touches, starting from its unique character and the setting in which it is situated.
