First time in Suvereto?
It’s true, the village is small and visiting it is easy, but I have created a small guide with my advice and 7 things to do during a trip to the village.
Here it is for you, we hope it will be useful!
VISIT THE FORTRESS: starting the discovery of Suvereto from the Rocca is useful for two reasons: first because it will all go downhill afterwards… and second because the Rocca and its terrace offer truly beautiful views and panoramas!
THE BACK DOOR: once you reach the top of the Rocca, go down the dirt path that will take you back to the paved road to enter the village again. It is the least photographed in the village but I like it a lot!
THE CLOISTER: a visit to the Cloister is a must, which often hosts events, concerts or simply children like mine who run like crazy playing hide and seek between the columns.
THE PALACE OF THE MUNICIPALITY: the Palace symbol of the independence of the village in history, which has always been the seat of city power and which in ancient times was dominated by a bell instead of the clock to call citizens back in case of attack or other public needs.
ICE CREAM BREAK.. or APERITIF: after this running and walking you have two alternatives for a regenerating break: the tables of the Gallo Golosone for an ice cream or an aperitif at the Enoteca le Carceri, at the Ristoro dei Perditempo or in the small square in front of the Church.
SEA, BIKES, SPAS AND TOURS: Suvereto is the perfect starting point to discover the coast with its beautiful beaches, go on excursions by bike or on foot, visit the cellars.
