Calamoresca is a small and charming inlet characterized by a beach with dark pebbles.

It can be reached from Piombino, Salivoli, and there is a restaurant serving fish specialties. It is a small beach very popular with Piombino residents in summer, so the advice, if possible, is to avoid weekends. 

A very suggestive experience that we recommend to those arriving in this area is to walk the panoramic promenade of the Punta Falcone observatory. The Park is of volcanic origin and surrounded by typical Mediterranean flora. A walk in Spring will reveal all the beauty of the typical blooms of this area.

Being a strategic and very panoramic point of the coast (you can easily see the Island of Elba, Montecristo and the Island of Giglio and the coast up to Populonia), it was used for war purposes during the First and Second World Wars. Some military remains are still visible along the way and contribute to making the trip even more fascinating. You will find directions to reach the park directly near the main car park.
