A long stretch of coastline running from Follonica to Piombino, the Sterpaia Coastal Park is characterised by fine, golden sand. Awarded the Blue Flag since 2008, this stretch of coastline is also suitable for children as the sea slopes gently. Behind it, the landscape features dunes and stretches of pine forest, where it’s lovely to linger on summer days (look out for our favourite bar, the Nano Verde, in the ‘Bosco della Sterpaia’!).

The coastal area is well-equipped with refreshment points, car parks and, in some sections, beach clubs. Our favourite is called Bagnoskiuma. There are also numerous seafood restaurants situated right on the beach. For a change of pace on a beautiful and easily accessible beach, Parco della Sterpaia is truly perfect.
