Acciughine’s exhibition during ArtinBorgo at the Creative Space in Suvereto
During the 2025 edition of ArtinBorgo, the arts festival that transforms Suvereto’s historic centre into a widespread creative workshop, the Creative Space at La Casa nel Castello hosted an exhibition by the artist Acciughine, alias Chiara Bacci.
Who is Acciughine
Acciughine is the pseudonym of Chiara Bacci, an artist and creative professional working in the fields of illustration, design and creative upcycling. Her work is characterised by a visual approach that blends colour, materials and contemporary themes, with a particular focus on visual poetry and the creation of illustrated ‘little worlds’ that invite the viewer to look with curiosity and a sense of light-heartedness.
During ArtinBorgo, Acciughine worked directly within the Creative Space, exhibiting her works and creating installations that engaged with the space and the audience present.
ArtinBorgo: the context of the exhibition
ArtinBorgo is an annual festival which, for one week, brings the streets, squares and shops of the historic village of Suvereto to life with artistic events, performances and installations, involving artists, collectives and craftspeople from all over Italy. The 2025 edition took place from 13 to 19 October, with a programme comprising exhibitions, workshops and cultural gatherings.
Within this framework, the Spazio Creativo served as one of the venues dedicated to exhibitions, hosting visual and installation projects by artists such as Acciughine and other participants in the event.
The work on display
The works presented by Acciughine at the Spazio Creativo form part of his artistic practice, which combines illustration and design, with a particular focus on colour and the creation of evocative, narrative images. His presence in Suvereto was also characterised by a performative approach: the artist worked on site, leaving visual traces of his creative process throughout the week of the event.
This dialogue between the creative process and the exhibition space allowed visitors to see not only the final results, but also part of the work’s development process, reinforcing the participatory nature of ArtinBorgo.
