Antoine Vannucci’s exhibition at the Creative Space in Suvereto
La Casa nel Castello’s Creative Space is hosting an exhibition by Antoine Vannucci, an illustrator specialising in children’s books, renowned for his work in the field of illustrated publishing.
The exhibition presents a selection of original artwork and illustrations that trace his artistic journey and his approach to illustration, bringing together images, storytelling and the creative process.
Antoine Vannucci, children’s book illustrator
Antoine Vannucci works as a children’s book illustrator, collaborating with publishers and on publishing projects dedicated to children and beyond. His work also includes *Jolly Roger*, a book published by Lavieri, in which the illustrations accompany the story with a recognisable, dynamic style that pays close attention to the visual structure of the narrative. The exhibition at the Spazio Creativo is not merely intended as a display of finished images, but as an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the illustrated book.
It is aimed at adults with a passion for illustration, as well as families and young readers, offering a practical insight into how an illustrated book is created.
The Spazio Creativo as a venue for illustration
The Spazio Creativo at La Casa nel Castello was established with the aim of hosting exhibitions, events and projects linked to creativity. Antoine Vannucci’s exhibition forms part of this programme, confirming the space as a venue well-suited to editorial illustration, capable of appealing to diverse audiences and highlighting the relationship between art, books and the local area. To mark the ‘Il Borgo dei Ragazzi’ event, the artist made himself available to engage children and young people in a creative workshop designed to stimulate their curiosity and creativity. Antoine himself illustrated the poster for the event organised by the local council.
An exhibition designed with families in mind
Thanks to its theme and visual language, the exhibition is particularly well-suited to children and young people, and offered an opportunity to explore the world of illustrated books during their stay in Suvereto. The Creative Space also hosted numerous illustrated books published by Lavieri during Antoine’s exhibition, making the space a place for reading and relaxation.
