Rich in history and unmissable in all seasons …

The Gulf of Baratti is characterized by a long golden beach surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and a large lawn where it is wonderful to rest, have a picnic and fly kites with the children. The Gulf has a particular history, in Etruscan times it was used as a port and iron working area. This ancient activity is today its peculiarity because the sand is still rich in ferrous residues that appear like glitter! Even more important residues can be found by digging. The Etruscan history of the place is also visible in the numerous excavations surrounding the beach.

In Baratti you will find bars and an equipped beach from May to September. In the pine forest you will find a famous kiosk where you can enjoy excellent sandwiches prepared on the spot and in the main car park one of our favorite kiosks: Il Polpo di Baratti, with outdoor tables, perfect for an aperitif at sunset facing the sea!

For those who love walking, it is possible to reach another pebble and stone beach through a path that winds through the Mediterranean scrub and along the coast. This beach is perfect for snorkeling! Find the path starting from the main car park next to the La Perla restaurant.

Other services available in Baratti: electric bike rental, sailing and sup courses, possibility to book boat trips to the marina
