Calamoresca is a small and pretty gulf characterized by a beach with dark pebbles.

It can be reached from Piombino, in the Salivoli area and there is a restaurant serving fish specialties. It is a small beach and very popular between locals in the summer, so the advice if possible is to avoid weekends.

A very suggestive experience that we recommend for those arriving in this area is to walk the panoramic walk of the Punta Falcone observatory. The park has a volcanic origin and is surrounded by typical Mediterranean flora. A walk in Spring will reveal all the beauty of the typical blooms of this area.

As a strategic and very panoramic point of the coast (you can easily see Elba Island, Montecristo and Giglio Island and the coast up to Populonia), it was used for war purposes during the first and second world wars. Some military remains are still visible along the way and help to make the trip even more fascinating. Find the directions to reach the park directly next to the main car park.
