A long coastal stretch that extends from Follonica to Piombino, the Sterpaia Coastal Park is characterized by fine golden sand. Awarded the Blue Flag since 2008, it is a stretch of coast also suitable for children. Behind it, the landscape is characterized by dunes or stretches of pine forest, where it is pleasant to stop on summer days (look for our favorite bar, the Nano Verde, in the ‘Bosco della Sterpaia!).
The coastal area is organized with refreshment points, parking lots and in some places bathing establishments. Our favorite is called Bagnoskiuma. There are also many fish restaurants located directly on the beach. For a different day on a beautiful and easily accessible beach, the Sterpaia Park is truly perfect. Some stretches of the coast can be very busy on weekends, so we recommend to arrive early in the morning.
