An authentic village in Val di Cornia

A delightful village perched on a rock surrounded by woods, Sassetta has authentic charm. It hosts numerous festivals throughout the year and is a destination not to be missed in the summer if you are looking for some fresh air and in autumn to pick chestnuts. Among the alleys of the village, the squares, the stone houses clinging to each other, the small restaurants, you will find the charm of a slow tourism.

The village was built in the year 1000 and has remained so, without undergoing any changes compared to the original architecture. Numerous works of art are exhibited here along the village .

The historic center of Sassetta retains its medieval character, with narrow cobbled streets, ancient stone houses and a parish church dedicated to San Sebastiano.
