The 25th anniversary of Calici di Stelle returns to Suvereto on 10 August 2023
Calici di Stelle returns to Suvereto on Thursday 10 August from 7.30 pm, a unique event where wine lovers, but not only, will be able to enjoy a wonderful evening in the enchanting medieval historic centre.
This year the event will be even more special, because it is the 25th anniversary of his birth, an anniversary which will be celebrated on the evening of 9 August at 21.30 in the Cloister of San Francesco, when the history of the event will be retraced together with the sommeliers of the FISAR Costa Etrusca delegation. For the occasion, the Goblet on sale during the evening will bear the special logo of the 25th year.
Promoted byNational Association of Wine Cities and since Wine Tourism Movement for the night of San Lorenzo, Calici di Stelle is organized by the Municipality of Suvereto in collaboration with Fisar Costa Etrusca and with the involvement of wine companies and all commercial activities in the historic center of Suvereto.
About 100 wine labels from Suvereto and Val di Cornia that can be tasted at the event (Vermentini, Sangiovese, Rosati and Orange wine, Passiti and also international vines), arranged in 10 locations located along the streets of the historic center of the town . Exceptional guests of this edition are the sparkling wines of FRANCIACORTA. The wines will be accompanied by dishes prepared by the restaurateurs of Suvereto, with a wide and quality offer that will offer typical local and Tuscan products (wild boar, cacciucco, tortelli, lampredotto, tripe, salami and local cheeses).
To accompany the evening moments of entertainment and music: two Street bands provided for the MAGICABOOLA BRASS BAND and the MABO’ BAND, and two fixed positions accompanying the evening, at the Cloister with NICO PISTOLESI on the piano, and at the Rocca with SÓN ASAMU & MASSIMO GEMINI for an original Dj set & Sax live.
Of course, the observation of the stars could not be missing, which will take place at the foot of the Rocca Aldobrandesca and will be guided and supervised as always by the Piombino Amateur Astronomers Association.
Reservations are not required to access the event, but to facilitate the influx of people, a free shuttle service will be activated from 19.30 to 1.00 at night, which will take visitors to the center of Suvereto from the parking lot set up in the Acquari area and vice versa. .
How does wine tasting work?
It will be possible to purchase a KIT, consisting of: 1 goblet, 1 goblet holder and 8 coupons, at the price of €15.00, with which the wine tasting can then take place. Each component of the kit can be purchased individually at the following costs: Chalice € 6.00, Chalice holder € 2.00, Coupon € 1.00.
The points of sale, managed by the employees of the Municipality, open at 19.00 and close at 23.30. From 11pm to 11.30pm it will be possible to request a refund for any unused coupons. Kits and coupons will be on sale until sold out.
How does gastronomic tasting work?
Visitors will be able to access the gastronomic tasting by directly contacting the stations set up by the commercial activities of Suvereto in the historic center and purchasing the dishes. The businesses that will offer their dishes as part of the event are: La Locanda delle stelle, La Barona Bistrò, Enoteca dei Difficili, Enoteca delle Carceri, Sughereto wine and food, Il Melograno, Il Fornaio, Il Gallo Golosone, Giorgio Nocciolini Catering, Vicolo Stretto Take Away, Pescheria l’Aragosta, I’ Ciocio, Pasticceria La Rocca.
In addition, the Deiola di Suvereto Dairy and the Podere Paterno di Monterotondo M.mo will be present at the Cloister of San Francesco, offering their pecorino cheeses, together with ice cream and panna cotta made from sheep’s milk.
