FROM THE SEA TO THE HILLS, THE BEST PLACES FOR AN APERITIF ON THE ETRUSCAN COAST
This month’s Little Guide is dedicated to aperitif enthusiasts. An all-Italian tradition and made even more fascinating by the wide gastronomic offer of the area, as well as breathtaking locations ranging from the village to the sea to the countryside. Are you ready to discover our selection?
Sal8 Bar Agricolo – San Vincenzo
Immersed in the park of the Relais Poggio ai Santi, in an environment with a chic and vintage atmosphere, the Sal8 Bar Agricolo can count on an innovative formula: the cocktails come directly from the garden next door. You can then continue the evening in the Il Sale restaurant. Let yourself be enchanted by the cocktail list and the gastronomic proposals. Recently awarded the title of being one of the top 500 bars in the world in the ranking drawn up by Top500Bar.
Bolgheri Green – Bolgheri
Craftsmanship and Tuscany. Feet on the grass, the smell of the summer countryside, the beautiful chopping boards with the products of their farm. All Bolgheri Green cocktails are composed of distillates to which they combine syrups and self-produced extracts from botanicals, plants and wild flowers or from the company itself.
Le Querce – Campiglia Marittima
Farm that produces wine and oil, welcomes you in its Wine Bar among the olive trees and vineyards. A good glass of wine and excellent music will enhance the spectacle and the emotions of breathtaking sunsets. Grapes, earth, light, sun, sea. You can choose to enjoy your aperitif on the terrace overlooking the sunset, in the middle of the vineyards, under the olive trees or directly on the lawn like a picnic. Whichever solution you choose, we are sure that Le Querce will not disappoint you!
Dispensa Desideri – Populonia
Among the reasons for visiting Populonia, a delightful small village located on the Gulf of Baratti, there is certainly this innovative cocktail bar that focuses on the quality of its drinks and gastronomic proposal to create a vintage and rustic environment, capable of bringing an international feeling in a typical Tuscan village.
Madama Caffe’ – Casale Marittimo
Located in the village of Casale Marittimo with greenery and vintage athmosphere. Cocktails, aperitifs and breakfasts served with silverware, flowers and porcelain that make a daily moment a ritual to try. With a delicious shop attached! Madama Caffe’ is an innovative project that we are sure will surprise you both for an aperitif and for a simple coffee.
Fito – Castiglioncello
Fito proposes a journey in which the relationship between food, nutrition, ethics, ecology and economy is held together by the poetry and aesthetics of the place itself. Protagonists are the excellent products of small local companies in the name of respect for the environment. The restaurant is located within the Limonaia complex in the park of the Pasquini castle in Castiglioncello.
Nano Verde – Riotorto (Piombino)
Located in the heart of the Sterpaia coastal park, the Nano Verde chiringuito is popular with sea and nature lovers. The wooden structure is integrated with the surrounding environment Many decorative elements characterize the place with fishing nets and hammocks suspended among the trees. Do not miss the musical aperitif with very fresh drinks, such as the Peperito, a variant of the Mojito
Enoteca Le Carceri – Suvereto
The Suvereto area is renowned for its wineries. Casadei, la Bulichella, Petra, just to name a few. So where to drink a good glass of wine if not directly in the historic center of the village, at the Enoteca le Carceri? Perhaps accompanied by a good platter of cheeses and cold cuts.
Bagno Baratti (Golfo di Baratti)
The golden light of the sunset in one of the most beautiful bays in Italy, the sand between your feet and maybe some good live music. This is summer for us! As their slogan says, ‘happiness in front of the sea is a simple thing’. In Bagno Baratti you will also find the ceramic works of La Cocciaia on display and available for purchase. The chiringuito is open all day, from breakfast to evening.
